Pas de deux #1 – Constructing Love (Koistinen/Valikoski/Zajac)

“What kind of world does one see when one experiences it from the point of view of two and not one?”

–Alain Badiou, In Praise of Love, 2009

In Pas de deux #1 – Constructing Love, two people are led through a passage of encounter, separation, unification and exit. Objects and sound invite interaction from the pair, which generates a distinctive choreography, and allows for individual reflection and shared moments.

Alain Badiou writes: “…love is a re-invention of life. To re-invent love is to re-invent that re-invention.” In this piece Koistinen, Valikoski and Zajac invite the audience to reflect upon this re-invention.

Pas de deux #1 – Constructing Love is the first part of the new series “Pas de deux” by Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop.
